Kan’t Keep Up! Kim Kardashian Exposes the Truth Behind Kanye West’s Bipolar Disorder
Most Kim Kardashian and Kanye West fans might think that their idols’ lives are perfect since they have all the fame and fortune one could ever ask for — not to forget their three beautiful children and baby number four that’s already on the way! What more could one ask for in life? But contrary to public perception, famous couple also struggle in life.
Kim Kardashian revealed that for the past few years, her marriage has seen some ups and down due to husband Kanye West’s bipolar disorder. But despite all the hardships they endured, the makeup mogul says she and her family are finally in a “good place” right now, especially when it comes to West’ mental health.
The Confession
In an interview with the Vogue magazine, Kim said that being in a relationship with someone with mental illness can be draining, both physically and emotionally. The suspicion about West’ bipolar disorder first emerged when he suddenly canceled his Saint Pablo tour sometime in November 2016. A few days later, several reports started surfacing about West’s spiralling health which wound him up in a hospital for psychiatric emergency.
In Summer 2018, West publicly admitted that he had a bipolar disorder after releasing his album entitled “Ye.” The cover art bore phrases such as “It’s Awesome” and “I hate being bipolar.”

Kanye West admitted he had never been diagnosed with any mental health illness until now. While most people would call his condition a disability, the renowned rapper says that he thinks of it as a superpower. In late 2018, Kim Kardashian revealed in a mind-blowing twist that her husband didn’t have bipolar disorder at all! What they thought was a mental illness all this time was just him suffering from sleep deprivation.
According to their new doctor, West had been misdiagnosed earlier — no wonder Kim said the medications didn’t work for him at all! While Kim had long accepted her husband’s bipolar condition before, she’s still happy to know he isn’t actually suffering from a mental health illness after all.
The Decision
While the doctors prescribed him some medication to help him get proper sleep, Kardashian revealed that West chose not to take them. According to him, rest is not really an option since it can’t change his workaholic nature or his hectic schedule.
Instead of medicating himself, West catches up on sleep whenever he’s travelling or on tour. When he’s not busy, he stays at home to spend quality time with his family and children.
A Tide of Controversies
